
National Security Scholars Summer Internship Program Recognizing the need to attract top students to support defense laboratories, the JRL has established the National Security Scholars Summer Internship Program in support of the Army Research Lab (ARL) that has recruited undergraduate and graduate students from UMD and regional universities to perform research in technology areas that are important to national security. Data Driven Engineering Research (DataDrivER) ProgramĀ Research initiative established through a cooperative agreement with the Army Research Laboratory (ARL). The program focuses on merging engineering and data science to advance research in areas such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems. DataDrivER aims to create a collaborative environment where UMD and federal partners can leverage their combined expertise to produce impactful research outcomes efficiently and at a lower cost.
